The Iconic self is a creative workshop for women looking to connect with their divinity and honour themselves as holy.

Working with the lineage of Byzantine art, we will take ordinary photocopied pictures of ourselves and turn them into icon art.

This workshop honours the power of creativity, redemption and self compassion and is a deep dive into the creative process.

If you are longing for a chance to tend lovingly to yourself, be challenged and build self compassion then this workshop is a good fit for you.

what to expect

This workshop is a deep dive into the realm of the embodied Divine

his workshop is a generous and tender offering for people who are willing to be challenged, go deep and stay with themselves.

This process is designed to stir the unconscious, uncover you own magnificence and collusion with that which separates you from the Holy.

We will work both in non-traditional circle and individually to follow a step wise process leading us into connection with our soul and informing our artwork.

This is not an art class or an exercise in technique. This workshop uses creativity as a way to deepen your connection to self and the Divine.- it's a soul workshop with art as a byproduct.
YOU DO NOT NEED ART EXPERIENCE TO ENGAGE IN THIS WORKSHOP.

You will need to adhere to the group boundaries which are written to promote kindness and privacy.

All you need to bring is your openness, a willingness to trying something new and to stay with yourself as you experiment, learn and tend. You will need an a4 black and white full face photograph of yourself.

Skill Two

Here is where our real selfhood is rooted, in the divine spark or seed, in the image of God imprinted on the human soul. The True Self is not our creation, but God's. It is the self we are in our depths. It is our capacity for divinity and transcendence. - Sue Monk Kidd
